Advantages & Disadvantages of Social Responsibility

All people have a degree of social responsibility, and some will willingly take on more social responsibility than others. When an individual tries to help society, the effort should be lauded, but the consequences for the individual concerned are not always happy ones. Dilemmas will often later emerge to determine whether an individual feels inclined to continue to help society.

Gaining a Good Reputation

  • Helping others will give a person a good reputation in a community. This good reputation will also make it easier for an individual to use her good name to push forward additional good work. This individual's opinion will be sought within a community. Once a person has proved herself to be a socially responsible person, she will be given opportunities to become more involved in helping the community. Feeling respected will also be a nice feeling in itself.

Being Taken for Granted

  • When people think of putting social responsibility into practice, they will often be encouraged by others. Problems will arise when an individual, who puts in a lot of time and effort, becomes taken for granted. Once that individual feels that his efforts are not being fairly recognized, then the motivation to carry on will sometimes be eroded. It's important that people who do take on a lot of social responsibility are made to feel appreciated for their work.

Too Much Responsibility

  • Sometimes an individual will be so competent at handling social responsibility that she will be given too much. This will become draining for some individuals, or it will make some begin to feel that they are more powerful than they actually are. If a person isn't ready for too much responsibility, then she is also more likely to make mistakes. For someone who has built up a good reputation in a community, a negative change in fortunes will be devastating.

How to become responsible student ?

Are you irresponsible and in need of help? Don't say you're not - you're the one looking at this article. Everyone has those days - the days where your head's not exactly in the game like it should be. Some people are just a little more responsible than others. As a kid, school is the most important thing in your life. You have to take responsibility of it, if you want to get into a good college, get a good job, get a good house, etc. Don't know how? Keep reading!

there are 7 steps to be responsible student :
1-Come to class on time and ready to learn. Don't be a minute late and bring (don't forget!) the right note-taking materials. Be organized with them.

2-Respect the teacher. Even if the things you're learning aren't exactly interesting, pretend they are. Smile at her and be nice. Respect the grade she gives you on something - don't argue! Don't stare at the clock throughout the class - that is a pet-peve of teachers and they will gain no respect for you.

3-Behave in class. Don't fool around with other classmates or with an object. Pay attention to the board and listen as closely to the teacher. If another student starts talking to you, quietly tell them to be quiet and listen. If they still don't stop, just ignore them.
If other are being very bad during class, you should probably consider telling the teacher about them. If you do this though, you have to realize you'll (most likely) become enemies with the other student.

4-Take notes. This is very important to do, especially if you're wanting to achieve good grades. Take notes neatly in a notebook. Don't copy every single thing the teacher says, but jot down whatever you think is important. Do this in pencil in case you have to erase something. After school, bring the notes home because they may be useful to have when doing homework.

5-Hand in homework efficiently. Spend time on your homework every night. Keep it very neat (use pen or type it) in case you have to hand it in. Ask someone to check your homework (if you feel comfortable), but don't let them change it. It is your work, so you have to be responsible about it. Also make sure you turn your assignments in on time.

6-Help your classmates. Don't be a showoff about it, but if they can't find their book, or they don't have a pencil or paper, lend them yours. Always be prepared to help them, and be respectful to them. Even if you there's a person you don't like, and you got assigned a project with them, kill them with kindness and move on.

7-Make up for missed or incomplete work. If you were absent one day, schedule a time to meet with your teacher and go over what you missed. If you didn't finish the test or handed in sloppy work, ask your teacher what you can do to make it better (extra credit, redoing it, etc.,). If you feel uncomfortable doing this, ask a classmate to help you make up what you missed.

what is the responsibility

The responsibility is a characteristic someone has that demonstrates efficiency when taking care of certain things. If you are responsible you will do things you know need to be done. It is your responsibility to take care of your children, for example. Responsibility is a valuable trait in the business world and society because it means you are going to do what you are needed to. Also, by responsibility you can get a respecting from each other.

The responsibility depends on confidence and personality of the person to get and achieve the aim .
